About the Author

Hi, I'm David Greening, the author of 'The Adventures on Minibeast Meadow'— a children's book series filled with curious characters, gentle adventures, and the tiny creatures that make our world so wonderful.

As a primary school teacher, I've always loved storytelling and the natural world, especially the small minibeasts that often go unnoticed beneath our feet.

As a child, I spent hours visiting a local meadow on my bike, watching ladybirds, caterpillars, ants, and beetles etc., and listening to all the sounds they make, imagining their secret lives and the adventures they might have when humans weren't looking. Those childhood moments inspired the stories that now live in Minibeast Meadow.

'The Adventures on Minibeast Meadow' was created to help children slow down, look closer, and discover that even the smallest creatures can be brave, kind, and important. Each story is designed to spark imagination while gently encouraging themes such as friendship, confidence, curiosity, empathy, resilience and caring for nature.

My books are written for young readers and listeners, as well as families, making them perfect for bedtime stories, shared reading, and classroom enjoyment. Through colourful characters and playful storytelling, I hope to nurture a love of reading and inspire children to see the magic in the everyday world around them.

When I'm not writing or teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and playing and watching many different sports.
